Privacy Policy

Who we are

AI Headshot (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a mobile app that creates professional-looking headshots from photos you provide. This policy explains what information we handle and why, including how we collect, use, share, retain, and delete face data.

Face data we collect

When you generate a headshot, you choose one or more photos from your photo library or camera. Those photos typically depict your face. We refer to this information as face data (face photographs you provide for headshot generation).

We do not collect Face ID data, TrueDepth depth maps, facial geometry, face meshes, biometric templates, or face landmark measurements. We only process the face photographs you explicitly select or capture for a generation request.

Face photos may appear on your device in the create screen after you select them. They are uploaded from your device only when you tap Generate, and only after you agree to our AI photo processing consent in the app.

How we use face data

We use face data only for the following intended purposes:

We do not use face data for advertising, marketing, user profiling, identity verification, facial recognition databases, or any purpose other than generating the headshot you request.

Disclosures: Before your first generation, the app shows a consent screen explaining that face photos are sent to our servers (Cloudflare) and then to OpenAI for AI image generation. A link to this Privacy Policy is provided on that screen and in Settings.

Face data sharing

We share face data only with the service providers necessary to generate your headshot:

We do not sell face data. We do not share face data with advertisers, analytics providers, or data brokers. RevenueCat, Apple, and Expo do not receive your face photos through our app.

Third-party face data protection

Any third party with whom our app shares face data (currently Cloudflare and OpenAI) will provide the same or equal protection of that face data as stated in this Privacy Policy. In particular:

Those providers may also process limited technical data under their own privacy policies as needed to operate their platforms. We select providers that maintain industry-standard security practices for customer content.

Face data retention

Credit balances and purchase records (which do not include face photos) may be retained on our servers so your remaining credits continue to work.

Face data deletion and your consent choices

You control face data in the app and on your device:

Because we do not retain face photos on our servers after a generate request finishes, there is no server-side face photo archive for us to delete. If you believe face data was processed in error, contact us at rowan17@thelifter.app.

To ask about deletion of server-side credit records associated with your device or purchase account (which do not contain face photos), email rowan17@thelifter.app.

Other information we process

We also process limited non-face data needed to run the app:

We do not ask for your name, email address, contacts, or precise location to use the app. If you email support, we will receive whatever you include in that message.

We do not currently run our own advertising or product-analytics SDK in the app.

Purchases

Credit packs are one-time In-App Purchases sold through the App Store. Apple processes payment. We use RevenueCat to help validate purchases and sync purchase state with the app. We do not receive your full payment card details.

Third-party services

Data security

API traffic uses HTTPS/TLS. Access to our API requires app credentials and signed requests. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Children

AI Headshot is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
